DevOpsFix Terms of Service

1. Acceptance & Platform Scope

Welcome to DevOpsFix. By using our web application, diagnostic chat workspace, prompt catalog, or submitting support tickets, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you are accessing DevOpsFix on behalf of a company, engineering team, or organization, you represent that you possess the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.

2. What DevOpsFix Provides

DevOpsFix is engineered as an intelligent diagnostic copilot and automated troubleshooting workspace for DevOps engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), and cloud practitioners. Key capabilities include:

• Incident & Error Diagnosis: Fast Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Kubernetes pod crashes (CrashLoopBackOff, OOMKilled), Docker container errors, and Linux service failures.
• Multi-Provider BYOK AI: Seamless connectivity to leading AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, OpenRouter) or local self-hosted Ollama.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Authoring: Generation, syntax review, and optimization for Terraform modules, Dockerfiles, Kubernetes YAML, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipelines.
• DevOps Prompt Catalog: Curated library of operational playbooks and diagnostic templates.
• Integrated Ticketing Desk: Tracked support ticketing for engineering assistance.

3. What DevOpsFix Does NOT Do (Platform Guardrails)

To safeguard your infrastructure and ensure clarity on our operational boundaries:

• No Direct Production Modification: We never apply changes to your cloud accounts (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes) autonomously in the background.
• No Resale of AI Tokens: We do not mark up or resell API credits. Your BYOK keys communicate directly with your own AI accounts.
• No Model Training on Your Data: We never use your proprietary logs, prompts, or code to train public foundational AI models.

4. Human-in-the-Loop & Operator Verification

Because Large Language Models are probabilistic by nature, all generated code, terminal commands, and remediation recommendations must be reviewed by a human engineer before execution:

• Mandatory Verification: You are solely responsible for verifying the safety and suitability of any suggested command (e.g. kubectl delete, terraform apply, database migrations) before applying it to live environments.
• Credential Protection: You are responsible for safeguarding your own third-party API keys and session tokens.

5. Guest Mode & Local Storage Terms

DevOpsFix allows users to use the workspace in Guest Mode:

• Client-Side Storage: Guest chat sessions, conversation memory, and temporary preferences are saved exclusively in your browser's localStorage / sessionStorage.
• No Persistent Server Retention: Guest logs and queries are not recorded or saved in central database records.
• User-Controlled Purge: You may wipe all local workspace data at any time by clicking "Clear Chat" or resetting your browser data.

6. Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) AI Architecture

When supplying custom API keys for external providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, OpenRouter):

• Direct Provider Terms: Your usage of external models is governed by your own direct commercial agreements and terms with each AI provider.
• Client-Side Encryption: Keys are encrypted in browser local storage using AES-256-GCM and passed securely via TLS 1.3 only to fulfill your requests.

7. 100% Output & Code Ownership

You retain complete, unrestricted ownership over all source code, configurations, Terraform modules, Dockerfiles, and prompt playbooks generated using DevOpsFix.

DevOpsFix asserts zero proprietary rights or licensing restrictions on outputs generated during your diagnostic sessions.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to misuse the DevOpsFix platform to:

• Conduct unauthorized network attacks, port scans, or denial-of-service against infrastructure you do not own or have explicit authorization to test.
• Attempt to extract API keys or bypass client-side encryption controls.
• Generate malicious malware, exploit payloads, or intentionally deploy destructive workloads.

9. Limitation of Liability

DevOpsFix is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. In no event shall DevOpsFix or its developers be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including production downtime, data loss, or system outages resulting from the unverified application of AI recommendations.
